When you think about a think tank, you may picture the ivory tower overflowing with public policy white papers in Washington, D.C. This is not that.
Change It is a modern, problem-solving tank outside of the D.C./NYC corridor that focuses on the how — how to go about making the changes to politics, media, and culture you want to see.
We show leaders and everyday voters how to do effective advocacy. We seed new ideas and roadmaps to make those ideas a reality over the long term.
Our work is for leaders in the civic sector –nonprofits, academia, politics, science, medicine—who want skills and strategy.
I’M KEVIN NIX. THERE’S A NEED FOR TOUGH, STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP TO GUIDE US OUT OF THE TUMULT.

RESEARCH REPORTS AND STRATEGY MEMOS
A few suggestions, many of which are doable in the short-term— if there’s the will and money. Others seem pie in the sky, given today’s political realities. But you have to start somewhere. The deliverable is 5-page memo, developed with the curatorial assistance of AI, that outlines solutions toward detoxifying partisanship’s ugly grip on America.

Hi, I’m Kevin Nix.
The age-old problem I’m solving for is not just simplifying complex material. It’s making audiences move to action. It’s about influencing how key stakeholders or the general public think about an issue.
During my time in Washington, D.C. and now in Texas, I led or supported 10 (mostly) winning public policy campaigns. As a national and multi-state communications director, I’ve had the honor to work on a high-impact portfolio, including on healthcare policy, public health, marriage equality, and military policy. My work has appeared in Washington Post, New York Times, Politico, Bloomberg, Stanford Social Innovation Review, Houston Chronicle, and Texas Tribune.
I received an M.A. in American Government from Johns Hopkins University and live in the vibrant city of Houston.
